How to read 0–100
100 marks the highest relative interest in the selected period. A value of 50 represents half that relative interest, not a count of searches. A zero can mean too little data. Changing dates or regions changes the reference point.
How to compare an announcement
Keep the same term, region and date range. Compare the observations before and after the announcement, and check whether the latest interval is complete. A nearby peak alone does not explain why people searched.
